Toxic Chemicals Contribute to colds and flu

They are probably aware that giving their immune system a helping hand can prevent colds and flu. But did you know that common exposures to toxic chemicals in their daily lives can increase your chances of getting sick.

Catching a cold or flu requires exposure to bacteria and viruses and a body with a weakened immune system. When bacteria and viruses is an immune system strong, the immune system recognizes the bacteria or virus as a foreign invader and fights them off. But when the body's immune system is compromised, it can not to do their job of protecting us against bacteria and viruses that can make us sick.

Unfortunately, today, our immune systems are exposed to a toxic chemical that can weaken their ability to protect the health of our bodies. Plastics, pesticides, and pollutants of all kinds in most consumer products. And virtually all of these chemicals can harm the immune system, leaving the body vulnerable to attack.

There are many toxic exposures in the average American household. So many, in fact, that there is a whole class of chemicals called "immunotoxic" which, by definition, "cause an increased incidence or severity of infectious diseases."

Removing immunotoxic from home to do more than stop colds and flus – it will protect you and your family from all contagious diseases, including bronchitis and pneumonia, diarrhea, measles, mumps, whooping-cough, and others. Flu shots and vaccinations? Removing immuntoxics your home allows your immune system to regenerate naturally and fight against all diseases.

Here are five simple things you can start eliminating your home immunotoxic and strengthen your immune system.

1. Open the window. During the winter, keep the windows closed to conserve heat and save energy but also keeps toxic chemicals inside the house. Open a window occasionally to let the toxic fumes and bring fresh air in.

2. Do not spray disinfectants. It is second nature to reach a disinfectant to kill cold germs and viruses influenza, but disinfectants only make things worse. Disinfectants contain the immunotoxic cresol, phenol, ethanol and formaldehyde, which reduce the ability of immune system to fight germs are killed. It is better to strengthen the immune system to protect the body against germs like it should. If you need to kill germs, use hot water or tea tree oil.

3. Do not use "permanent" markers. These contain the solvents cresol, toluene and xylene, all powerful immunotoxic. Choose water-based markers in place.

4. Do not use utensils nonstick cookware. A 2008 study by the Environmental Working Group through West Virginia University found higher levels of a substance in blood Teflon of test subjects correlated with lower levels of a protein that helps the body fight bacteria, viruses and other pathogens. Instead of using cast iron, porcelain enamel, glass, clay, or one of the freedmen PFOA "green pans."

5. Sleeping on cotton without treat or linen sheets. All polyester / cotton and cotton sheets are treated with permanent press finish of formaldehyde that can not be removed and continues to emit formaldehyde for the life of the blade. Common symptoms of this immunotoxicant include runny nose, itchy eyes and other cold symptoms and flu.

Each step you can take towards elimination of toxic chemicals in your home will greatly improve their health.

Remover liquid chalk boards?

I have a collection of feathers Zig Posterman liquid chalk, ink, water-based pigment, a board office. It is assumed that the water soluble, extractable household cleanser (Windex). This does not seem to be the case and asked me what I use for a cleaning product that Starbucks use liquid chalk markers on your tables. I also wonder if an ammonia solution may do the trick or whether it may be that my advice is too porous. Any advice would be appreciated.

A bit of simple chemistry can be in order. As chalk is a carbonate mineral an acid would be the best way to remove and the most natural method may be to take a rain water bottle, which is slightly acidic, and gently sponge a little about the offensive graffiti. Tap water would be effective as it is from the chalk aquifers and is too rarely hard.Pavement artists see their work to survive a shower. Try your first natural acid. Lemons, vinegar, Citric acid seems to be your best option. If that fails you can go to your home improvement local store and buy some graffiti remover. http://www.graffitiremover.com/ Good luck.
