artists: what type of pen do you prefer to use on the back of a print?
i’m starting to sell my art prints online and i will be signing, dating, and numbering the back of each print i sell. i was just wondering what type of pen most artists prefer using for signing their prints.
i don’t want th ink to run through to the front of the print or bleed. i’m assuming an extra-Fine Tip sharpie should be just fine but i wanted artists opinions and suggestions on the subject. thanks!
you always use a pencil no matter what this shows that the print is authentic and shows that it was one of the artist. and it dose not run through but no matter what you sign with it still might damage the print so be gentle.
