My 77, starting problems, sometimes turns off after it has already begun. Mechanical suggestions?

1977 Chrysler 360 4 barrel. Whenever I have to put my foot on the accelerator pedal to start. Now that almost never works, because it has worsened. I replaced the ignition coil, but I do not think that was the problem. Sometimes, after I get it to start idle perfectly fine after a minute just goes without any shaking or any other sign that is off point. It is off of me in traffic too. But as mentioned we do not know when to be off, since it is so aprubt and the car is so quiet. For Please only mechanical suggestions. I've called the mechanical issues in the past just to get the jokes as answers, it's not fun since I would good advice and a good car mechanic work. Thanks in advance.

Most people who are used to modern fuel injected cars can not capture to be pumping gas in a carbuerated engine to get the thing ready to above. Part of that is normal. I'd like to investigate carbuerator just as mentioned above. Could be sticky choke or better yet, check the fuel filter before anything.
