Philadelphia Schools receive grants to improve literacy Arts
Schools in Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership (PEAP) has established a good relationship history in 2006 with the successful "Artist in Residence Program." Through this initiative of the Office of Schools Philadelphia Creative and Performing Arts PEAP computer to place the artists working in the ten-day residential schools without art or music specialists. The Artists and teachers worked together to integrate literacy and arts education for more than 14,000 Philadelphia students in selected schools. While participants claim success of the project, a full report of the model will be available in late 2007.
Apparently, the Department of Education has confidence in the program. Philadelphia schools will continue this successful model with a grant from the Department of Education to fund Art Bridges over the next four years. Art Bridges May provide schools with the artists on the site that instruct students and collaborate with teachers to achieve the target of state and local goals of literacy.
The aim of the initiative is for the Philadelphia schools to: improve academic performance in reading, improve pupils' attitudes of self and school help classroom teachers integrate the arts and literacy, improving teacher capacity and improve teacher understanding of core curriculum. Philadelphia Schools provide ongoing professional development both for artists and teachers involved in the project. The artists representing organizations like Theatre Company Philadelphia and the Study of Clay. The poets, playwrights and artists are among those involved.
The proposed bridge will be done by targeting students in fourth, fifth and six low-performing schools in Philadelphia during the useful life of four years of the grant. "It's hard to reach" students will be motivated creative pursuits that are linked to specific works of literature, and supported literacy standards. Philadelphia Schools were selected for participation based on the following criteria: a primary housing area at least two grades, 4, 5 and 6 grade classrooms, the school must employ an art and music specialists, and must be defined as reaching down markers AYP. Qualified Philadelphia Schools that applied were chosen after a random drawing.
From that President George W. Bush applies the "No Child Left Behind Act" in 2002 largest urban, school districts, and schools of Philadelphia, have been challenged to find ways meet the new standards. The establishment of an art-based curriculum at a time when most schools are getting math and reading intensive to ramp up the state test scores is a very different approach. However, it is one that most educators in the schools of Philadelphia approved.
The question of how to reach and connect with students from low-level managers and socio-economic base of minorities has embarrassed the city and that education began public. Philadelphia Schools continue to address issues of truancy, high dropout rates, teacher turnover and low academic achievement. If Philadelphia Schools can show success with this approach, the impact on arts education and the education of students at risk could be enormous.

What should I do if I am being accused by the school office to rob a fellow student?
I am being accused by the school office for stealing a fellow student cell phone while we were in the library because I just borrow your cell phone for only a few minutes while we were inside the library. But the truth is that she had the phone in your hand before I left the library. My accusation is fellow student who stole my cell because I had the phone before I left. please help me. I really did not steal it.
If you go to a private school which unfortunately will be able to deliver any punishment they want with or without evidence. If you go to public school yet, you can sue the school if they punish you with no definitive proof.
