Why do I have to keep on explaining why I clean my hands every two hours?
I carry around a little bottle of antibacterial hand gel and clean my hands with the gel every two hours – half past every odd hour, to be precise.
Why does this cause such a fuss amongst my associates?

It’s odd that your associates would be having such a reaction to it. Where I work, each desk has it’s own bottle of hand sanitizer. Your co-workers should mind their own business. How is it that they even notice what and how often you’re doing something?
It’s obvious what you’re doing: sanitizing your hands. If they aren’t able to discern why you clean your hands (sanitary reasons) then I wouldn’t want those people around me as they themselves probably aren’t very sanitary.
Leaving OCD out of it, a workplace is a great place to pick up germs and there’s nothing wrong with taking sanitary measures frequently.
The next time one asks why you do it so often, just simply say, “Eww, you don’t?”
