insurance question?
HI
is it possible to get an car insurance with my hubby whom resides in india, if i prang the car will he have to be contacted by the insurance agent / police and also will we have to produce proof that we are married etc such as certificate licence?
Or can I be in charge and myself will do fine.
it is just to put us both on a policy so we can get an cheaper insurance.

You can both have combined insurance and if you are the ‘first named’ driver on the policy then you will be the one who sorts out any paperwork etc. in the event of a claim. The only benifit of having him on the policy is if this gives you a discount – it won’t cover him in India unless special arrangements have been made with the insurance company.
