What appear as cavities in a tooth dogs from a human perspective?
I stopped brushing my dogs teeth for a few months as I settled in my new apartment in Berlin and noticed his teeth were very yellow. I brushed my teeth for a week and the yellow is gone from all molars, but his back. On one side is a small black dot on the front of the tooth. What you're describing * could * be a bore. O it could just be dark spots on the molar. Cavities occur in dogs and cats but are actually quite rare because unlike humans your overall diet, not promote formation of the cavity. With regard to the yellow scale, most likely you have eliminated everything that can be achieved with simple tooth brushing. You will need to have teeth your dog a professional cleaning to remove the rest of the yellow. A veterinarian will anesthetize your dog and use the same instruments as human dentists use a yellow spotting.
