Pens Med Point
how to improve handwriting (old fashioned)?
First and foremost, I have a very good short hand handwriting and a decent signature.
I want to learn how to write “script-like” calligraphy, for example, john hancock. Not to that extreme though. Besides “practice, practice, practice”, any types?
I own a Fountain Pen with a 3 nibs (thin, med, and wide)
as well as a watermen Ball Point
One of the best ways to make your penmanship (yep, that’s another name for handwriting) better is to work on the gracefulness of your hands. Honest. Draw uniform squiggles like the top of an ice-cream cone, but sideways, sort of figure-8-ish or like a clown’s ruff. Draw repeated ovals so they form a spring, like a Slinky, and make them round enough so it looks like you could go through the tunnel.
Or, look up “penmanship exercises” online. They probably describe it better than I do.
