Will I get zero if I use blue pen when the instruction told me to use black pen only for IGCSE exam?
My black pen ran out of ink and i only had blue ones left (they are pretty dark tho)… but they reallly emphasized that black pen must be used.. Are they going to penalize the whole paper? :’(
You wont get zero just for using blue pen.
The reason they ask you to write in black is because the papers are marked online and when they are scanned this is done in black and white. Blue pen doesn’t show up as well in black and white and if the examiner can’t read your answers you will get zero. However, if the pen is fairly dark it should show up fine so your answers will be clear enough for the examiner to read.
