Is it safe for young children to chew on 2 pencils? What worries me most in the last ten years or so.

Pencil Drawing Basics – the shape of objects

In this article we will deal with the fundamental property of any object in relation to the act of drawing pencil. This fundamental property is the form or structure of the object. Ultimately, it is drawing so that is more responsible for the reproduction of the real scene of drawing paper.

It is important to have a simple but complete mental image or memory of ownership form. The mental image is very useful for you as pencil artist, as it will lead to a simple and systematic approach to the design of an object under the sun. It will give you the essential tools of the first phase of a drawing.

The idea of addressing the many forms that constitute a real scene involves a decomposition of the visual forms of the scene in a set of geometric shapes core followed by a reconstruction of the shapes on a likeness of the original real object.

With some practice, you will find that this analysis and transformation very quickly becomes second nature, and will help greatly to approach a drawing of a logical way.

After to examine how many objects, the artists of the past reached the following conclusions:

* All forms of objects can be viewed as a composition four basic geometric shapes: the brick, sphere, cylinder and cone.

Of course, the current forms almost always more or less deviate of these perfect shapes. Therefore, part of the process consist of the addition of these variations. But all that is done at a later stage drawing process.

* A focus on the four major shapes allows you to see the overall structure or composition of the global scene in a way very logical and interconnected way.

* The extension of these large forms is fairly easy to discern and the estimated dimensions easily. As Thus, the large shapes can be drawn for the first time without paying any attention to the smaller forms, and the myriad of details.

* Drawing a real scene, while constantly thinking about bricks, spheres, cylinders, cones and automatically give three-dimensional drawing and a certain amount of weight. With a little practice you will soon realize that you've become a much faster and more accurate speaker.

This approach to viewing of a scene, ie to see the scene as a composition of basic geometric forms solid, naturally separates the overview of the details and gives an excellent starting point to address any design. You do not have to think or doubt about how to start your drawing. You just begun to tackle a big way and link all the others together as a chain link fence.

Once large geometric shapes are in place and to see a good picture of the scene as a whole. You can then concentrate on the details without having to worry about whether or not all objects are in the overall position of the right.

In this article we have developed a method that in principle an arbitrary opinions pictorial scene as a composition of four basic shapes: the brick, sphere, cone, and cylinder. This allows us to separate the overview of the details. You just had a great way at once and fill in the details. The idea is to be very aware of the immediate vicinity of the details that are drawing so that the orientation and size of the detail is set correctly in the neighborhood.

The task is then to represent each basic geometric shape, while at the same time, the reconstitution of the global scene, ie, placing each shape in the correct position.
