Buying your first source Pen

With the integration of computers in today's society, writing seems to be going out of fashion. However, more people 're looking at getting back into the habit and are buying for fountain pens. You've fallen into this category and is seeking his first fountain pen. So the way forward?

There are ways to find your perfect first fountain pen, but in general this is a hands on approach. If you can, go to a pen shop and try a number of different units. If you are not able to do this, you can always buy 2-3 cheaper pens get an idea of what you want in a pen. You need to find out what suits you best in terms of the contour feathers, weight, tip size and so on.

A jib Emphasis is a great way for a beginner to get used to using a fountain pen. Not wanting to put off, but you'll enjoy your fountain pen more if you go for something you really like. You do not want to buy a pencil, find it does not really work for you so you hide in a tie, which was never seen again.

The other question of course is how much to spend on a fountain pen. As mentioned earlier, I recommend you start with two or three feathers cheaper. You should be able to collect these for less than $ 10 each. When you are comfortable with the type of pen, nib size and shape and size on tap, perhaps can start looking for a pen of three digits. But remember, do not waste your money on a fountain pen because it looks nice. They are meant to be used; to please choose wisely. Happy writing.

I inherited some fountain pens. When in NYC I can go to get them appraised? How should I sell?

There are 12 in every pen. 2 Meisterstruk Mont Blanc pens, and the other 10 are Waterman. They are probably about 30-40 years of age. I know nothing of feathers to comment on their condition, the exterior look good to me. I can take pictures and link if necessary. Could be worth anything?
