Can you give me advice on the use of markers and prismacolor Colored Pencils?

I am an artist Colored Pencil and wow. . . where to start. I recommend you get your hands on one of the basic books in many crayons. This allows you to learn the techniques of layers that make this half as flexible. I recommend a good brand of colored pencils, and Prismacolor or Rembrandt Lyra, Derwent well, Polychrome. . . etc. Do not buy cheap brands Hobby store as general or Pro-Arte, since they contain less pigment and will not give vibrant results. You can also get water-soluble colored pencils and a bit of practice to achieve some nice watercolor effects, too. Colored pencil as an art medium is one of the slowest to produce. The standard application is layers of layers of light to get the colors and the mix you want. A good Pencil Sharpener is one of the c / p artist most important tools, along with their pencils.
