1. Always test cleaning solutions in an inconspicuous part of the carpet before using them in a large area.

2. Use a white cloth rather than a color to prevent dye from getting out of the carpet.

3. As spot, keeps turning the cloth so that you are using a clean, dry section to pick up the stain fluids and carpet cleaning. Do not rub.

4. If you use a brush to help clean the stain, always brush the outer edges of the spill inward to prevent the stain from spreading.

One last tip: In a spray bottle, prepare a solution of 1 / 3 of alcohol, 1 / 3 white vinegar and 1 / 3 of water cold. Use this solution as the cleaning product. Usually works well and negates the use of chemical cleaning agents. Only spray it on, wait minutes and use a clean damp cloth to clean the area.
