Cross pens manufacturers focus more on quality than in the design
The name "pen" is derived from the Latin word "penna" which means pen. This is a writing instrument, manually through capillary action applies ink to a surface, usually paper. Feathers can be used with inks of different colors but commonly make use of inks in shades ranging from black, blue, red, and sometimes green. There are many different types of feathers, some which listed here is, Reed pens, pens, metal pens, Fountain Pens, Ballpoint Pens, felt tips, Ball Roller and Porous Point. All the pens of the world are on these different. Feathers are also classified by type of art that comes with the pen, not the pen, Pen Rollerball, the pen, felt-Tip Pen and gel pen.
Cross pens appeared in 1846 as the elegant creation of Richard Cruz throughout his life Richard Cross patented an incredible number of twenty feathers until the company passed to his son Alonso. Currently the company is proud to be preserving the oldest tradition in the design and manufacture of instruments of calligraphy.
In 1879, the precursor of the ballpoint pen was launched by the company with a considerable commercial effect, and later, in 1930 the fountain Pen Company first appeared. In 1946 the company again logo, the Century, was introduced, and still retains its meaning today. Since its inception the company has sold more than one hundred million pens becoming a symbol of quality and longevity.
Cross pens are known to be more traditional than trendy, focus more on quality in design, and here, the Century model II is the best example possible as this is the combinerefinement with High Class style. In 1916 Walter R. Boss bought the company and encouraged his son Ellery to share his passion for good pen. Ellery joined his father in 1920 and led the company for more than forty years retiring only in 1966.
In those years Cross become a company known more as a line of personal leather accessories such as a pen manufacturer. However, following an upward trend definitely in 1971, are listed on the American Stock Exchange, and later, new partners were attracted to start designing appreciate other fine products.
During the two decades of the Cross pens imposed more as a work of art than just writing tools, and its price has often been considered relevant by tradition they represent. In 1993, Townsend fountain pen and pen Selectip were designed, only high quality materials used in the process which we mention eighteen and ten-karat gold, Black Lacquer, medal and titanium. Century II appeared in 1996, is based mainly in fourteen or ten karat gold, wood, blue lacquered black or rosewood.
These features strictly belonged to the Century model for the international market. Another variety was produced exclusively for the continent American, and the pen was twenty-three carat gold medal, lacquered black and chrome, the set also includes a pen, a roller ball pen, pencil 0.5 mm and a fountain pen. The latest models such as ATX, The Verve and Apogee respected luxury line, the company has followed since its inception.
