Would The US Army Alpha Black Tactical Mod Kit – 3 Piece Fit my freak barrel system for my 98 tippmann?
I have a 98 custom an was wondering if the us army alpha black tactical mod kit- 3 piece would fit the freak back barrel for the smart parts freak system?
Yes, it should fit. Normally the hand guards are held on by a few set screws. You will have to take apart the hand guard, remove the barrel and insert the freak into the handguard. It should work because the barrel on the Alpha is rather thick (thick outside diameter). The freak is relatively straight with next to no profile (average size outer diameter). There are other universal handguards on the market that will fit the freak barrel if you have any issues.
Here’s a tip: anytime you add a hand guard onto a barrel, wrap the area on the barrel where the set screws will touch with electrical tape. Is will keep your barrel from getting scratched or marked by the set screws and will take up any excessive space.
