How can I improve my vision as a footballer (soccer) player?
I’ve played football for a long time but my head is always down when I have the ball, is there, any way I can improve my vision. Thank You.
a basic thing is juggling and dribbling around your house. when you’re juggling you get a feel of the ball, (using your feet only) then dribbling around your house makes you look up to make sure you dont crash into anything.
another way:
start slow like receiving a pass, making a good touch then look up. do these until you feel comfortable looking up. make sure you’re increasing speed and get a friend to start pressing like start off as just a jog towards you, then move towards full speed.
after you have that, play some keep away.
next is dribbling in a small area with other people, same as dribbling around house, makes you look up. once you’re able to do that play small sided games if possible, grab a few friends and stuff. this way you make sure you’re not just deke-ing motionless objects or avoiding them.
i’d say the main thing is practicing juggling with your feet and dribbing around your house.
***make sure you force yourself to look up every now and then, especially when you start, after that it should come more natural to you.
