Fabric Painting Help!!?
I bought a fabric pen branded Artline Shirt Marker. When writing on the shirt (cotton) ,the ink spread and does not give a sharp end , any idea how to remove the excess ink? and any idea to write without the ink spreading?
i know exactly what you’re talking about, it happened to me years ago when i tried coloring on a shirt for the first (and last) time ever. lmao.
perhaps (if the shirt is white) dot a Q-TIP in bleach and then try to sort of dab it on the blotches and see if it clears it up.
to try to prevent it: maybe (im not sure if you’re already doing this or not) but put a peice of cardboard between the front and back of the shirt and put a peice of paper towel in between the cardboard and the shirt itself.
the way im thinking is that the marker you have is putting out more ink than you need and the ink has no where to go but spread out on your fabric, so maybe while youre writing the ink will be soaked up more by the paper towel instead of the shirt.
