Obama and the plight of black americans?
Without considering his heritage he is a ‘black american’ and I have heard alot about how finally ‘the man’ is now black and the status of races has been reversed but I feel that this will now mask the problems of racial inequity further than before as people will be less concerned that the black americans are being classified as having less status than the white americans because one single black man is at the top of the pyramid.
After you pass obama at the apex of the pyramid, the same story exists and as money and business run the world, there appears to have been no change. Perhaps obama’s victory has placed cracks in the glass ceiling for black americans but does anyone else feel that there will be no proper change to the racially unequal economic distribution in America?
